Abstract
The high school course begins with the ninth grade, and in this article, the history book of this grade - which has been taught for almost three years - has been selected for review. The method used in this article is content analysis, which is usually used to describe the characteristics of the message in order to reach the results of the research, which is to identify the values and theories used in textbooks. The purpose of this research is to determine the task that has been considered for teaching history in Türkiye. It should be noted that in today's Turkey, along with the idea of transferring past knowledge to the current generation, teaching historical thinking and problem solving skills has replaced the previous methods. In this way, the correct learning of the history lesson relies on two basic factors:"the teacher's narration style" and "a good teaching textbook ". In relation to the achievement of the present research, it should be said that the educational system of countries such as Turkey and Iran follow an almost centralized mode.Therefore, the review of the textbooks of that country can increase Iran's experiences, as well as creativity in determining the correct educational policy.
