Because of his important activities in composing the other disciplines with economic history of Iran in an Annalistic approach, Prof. Ali Mazaheri is introduced in this issue as model for scholars who are seeking for an Iranian Annals school of Historiography. He was trained in the scientific circles of Annals historians in France, and criticized the Europe-centric thesis of the Silk Road which was supported by scholars such as Rene Grousset. For this purpose, Mazaheri restudied the history of Silk Road focusing on the Orient. In his book la Route de la Soie, Mazaheri reproduced some oriental voyage accounts and made valuable and scholar annotations on them, which shows the beginning of a sort of oriental-Iranian Annalistic historiography. In the current issue, his annotations on two of medievals of Ghiath al-din Naqqash’s voyages and Khata’ei travels were examined.
