Abstract
The research and study of the history of the Maghreb and Andalusia in the Islamic period has been accompanied by ups and downs which is important from the point of view of historiography because various issues and numerous developments in the history of this region have not been analyzed scientifically. The Almohads is one of the successful government experiences of the Berbers in the 6th. What has not been taken into consideration is the administrative correspondence and official sources, which can be considered as a source for the historiography of the Almohads period. These sources, which are known as “correspondences", include official documents and government letters issued by the caliphs and recorded by the secretaries. Therefore, the present research, with the analytical method and study of the formal and content structure of administrative correspondence, seeks to evaluate its importance in the historiographical tradition of the Maghreb and the Almohads state. It should also answer the question of what position Correspondencegraphy has had in the historiographical structure of the Almohads government? The findings of the research show that Almohads paid special attention to the remaining correspondences have different historical aspects and are considered part of the historiographical tradition of this period.
