چکیده

تاریخ‌نگاری رسمی، به منزله‌ی روایت‌ حکومتی از تاریخ، یکی از کهن‌ترین و متداول‌ترین گونه‌های تاریخ‌نگاری است که از قدیم‌ترین دوره‌ها تا روزگار ما تداوم یافته است.مسئله‌ی اصلی این مقاله چیستی تاریخ‌نگاری رسمی و طرح یک رشته ملاحظات روش‌شناختی درباره‌ی ویژگی‌ها و اعتبار این نوع تاریخ‌نگاری است.برای این منظور کوشیده‌ایم با بررسی انتقادی روش و سبک تاریخ‌نگاری‌های رسمی، قلمرو و موضوع آن، بازیگران و مخاطبان آن و همچنین ویژگی‌های تاریخ‌نگاری‌های رسمی را به همراه هدف‌ها و جهت‌گیرهایش و نیز نسبت آن را با قدرت ارزیابی کنیم.
این مقاله سرانجام با بیان برخی کاستی‌های این نوع تاریخ‌نگاری‌، به این نتیجه می‌رسد که تاریخ‌نگاری‌های رسمی به علت جهت‌گیری‌های ویژه‌ی خود نمی‌توانند واقعیت‌ها را بازتاب دهند؛ به همین دلیل باید آن‌ها را در قیاس با منابع رقیب مطالعه کنند تا شناخت بهتری از گذشته به دست آید.

 The official historiography as the governmental narrative is one of the oldest types of historiography which has continued up to now. The important question of this article is explaining identity, characters and credibility of the official historiography. Also this article attempts to use critical analyzing in order to explain the method of the official historiography, its subjects, addressees, characteristics, goals and relation with power. Mentioning weakness points of official historiography, This article concludes that this type of sources could not reflect the realities, because of their special partialities. As a result they should be used in comparison with other sources, in order to offer a better knowledge.
