چکیده

یکی از جنبه‌های تاریخ‌نگاری شبه قاره هند، مساعدت فارسی‌زبانان به اعتلاء و رشد این علم است.بخشی از این مهم، به وسیله ایرانیانی انجام گرفته که به دلایل مختلف به هند مهاجرت کردند.یکی از مهاجران ایرانی که در ترقی تاریخ‌نگاری شبه قاره ایفای نقش نموده، اسدبیگ قزوینی است.وی با تألیف یک اثر کم‌حجم ولی پرفایده، به نام تاریخ اسدبیگ، توانسته است به تبیین تاریخ‌ سیاسی و اجتماعی دوره‌ای کوتاه از تاریخ هند در اواخر حکومت اکبرشاه و اوایل سلطنت جهانگیر شاه بپردازد.
اسدبیگ در تاریخ‌نگاری، تحت تاثیر اندیشه و اعتقاداتش و نیز محدودیت‌های خاص محیط زندگی‌اش قرار داشت.این تأثیرپذیری، مانع تبیین بهینه واقعیت‌ها و حقایق گردیده است؛ با این حال، با روشنگری‌های ارزنده و ارائه برخی اطلاعات کمیاب، به بازسازی بخشی از تاریخ هند مدد رسانده است.در این مقاله، ابتدا تلاش می‌شود که شناخت اجمالی از زندگی مولف تاریخ اسدبیگ و شخصیت و طرز تفکر او به دست آید.آنگاه با بررسی مندرجات اثر تاریخی وی، به بیان ویژگی‌های تاریخ‌نگاری کتاب اسدبیگ پرداخته شود.مشخص ساختن چگونگی برخورد مولف تاریخ اسدبیگ با اهالی قدرت، میزان شجاعت و صراحت وی در بیان واقعیت‌ها، حد پایبندی او به مستندنویسی و علت‌جویی وقایع، میزان اهتمامش در رعایت ترتیب زمانی مطالب کتاب، محدود نشدن مولف به تاریخ سیاسی و عنایت به تبیین تاریخ اجتماعی و اقتصادی آن روزگار، از جمله نکاتی است که در بحث تاریخ‌نگاری مطرح می‌شود

چکیده [English]

One of the most important aspects of historiography in the Indian subcontinent was Iranians and Persian language assistance to exalting the field in the region. Important part of this art was carried out by the Iranians who migrated to India for different reasons. One of these Iranian migrants who played significant role in development of historiography in India was Asad Bayg Qazwini. He wrote a compact and beneficial work entitled "Tarikh Asad Bayg". In his book he explained social and political situation of India in a short course of the late reign of Akbar Shah and early reign of Jahangir Shah. On historiography, he was under influence of his ideas, beliefs, and certain restrictions of his living environment. This impression prevents optimal representation of reality and facts; however, the Enlightenment and providing some valuable information was fundamental to restoration of Indian history. In this article, first of all we try to briefly introduce author of " Tarikh Asad Bayg", his character and way of thinking and also his religion. Then we go through content of this historical book and review historiography style of it, make clear how Asad Bayg deal with power, his bravery and frankness in expressing the facts, his commitment to the cause of documentary writing and examine events, chronological order of the book, not to be bounded to political history and considering on social and economic representation of the era, and including tips on writing such historical books that all will be considered in our article.
